Project Description

Consumers Power Company and CMS Generation considered potential alternatives for coal deliveries.� CMS Generation engaged Energy Associates to provide consulting services on coal related issues for the transport of fuel to an existing power plant.� A variety of alternatives were investigated.� Rail, such as the Burlington Northern Sante Fe System as shown below, was considered.� Potential savings were examined though industry contacts and available FERC data.
